What impact has Walt Disney had on America?

Old Walt certainly influenced theme park development: he set the standard in the US for that. He doesn't have any historical influence. His movies, while he was alive, sure hated mothers and showed fathers as being scary and usually absent. Walt didn't seem to have a happy childhood. He adulterated children's stories and made a ton of money from them.
