Houston to Walt Disney World where else can i visit on my way?

since New Orleans is on its way i was debating on there or maybe Key west Florida i really cant make up my mind i dont know if theres more things to do in one or the other or if theres some other place i should visit anyone have any ideas im traveling by car and going with kids a 15 and a 2 year old.
